Abstract

This KKN activity was carried out to encourage children to be more active in terms of reading and encourage the people of rice ponds to avoid toga plants, there were several problems including reading rooms that were no longer used and the number of plants that were not, the 027 KKN group tried to give a little solutions or contributions by planting existing reading rooms and toga plants in vacant land. This Community Service Program is carried out to encourage public interest in participating in toga plant activities and reading gardens. as we know the toga garden in the village area of Tambaksawah Rt 03 has been found again, that's why we KKN 027 group made an activity to plant the toga plant so that later it can also be useful for the surrounding community. In a pandemic situation like today, we think that the toga plant is very much needed by the community, such as lemongrass, turmeric, mint, galangal, these are some of the plants that we plant in the neighborhood of Rt 03, where these plants have the efficacy of relieving coughs, overcoming migraines , overcome the respiratory tract, which is needed in the current covid 19 pandemic season. Next about the reading garden, here we are trying to optimize the existing reading garden, there are some improvements we made so that the reading garden becomes interesting and becomes a facility that can be reused by local residents, especially small children in the environment. the atmosphere of the reading garden is a little, we are home with some decorations and we fill it with some interesting educational books so that children can learn in a comfortable reading garden so that they can foster interest in reading in children who will later become the nation's successors Keywords : Reading Room and Toga Plants.
