Abstract
According to UU. No. 20 Tahun 2003 concerning National Education System, stating that education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential to have spiritual and religious strength, self-control, good personality, intelligence, noble character and skills which benefit themeselves, society, nation and state. This principle is used as the realization of the community service program (KKN). Community service program (KKN) is one of forms of educational program which provides students with experience to get to know and work outside the campus with people in society directly. With this program, students can learn how to solve social problems and can improve the welfare of the community. This community service program (KKN) is under the supervision of the University and the Guidance of DPL Lecturers who also participate in the program to apply their knowledge to society in the fields of technology, education, art, etc. This KKN can also teach students to be disciplined, responsible, and tolerant of others. Based on the results of the survey that our group has conducted, we decided to take the location in Mrasih, a hamlet in Kemiri village, pacet district, and Mojokerto regency as the place for the KKN program. The purpose of taking this location is to provide counseling and utilize the potency in the area by renovating the hamlet hall and repairing the irrigation canals for the community welfare in Mrasih Hamlet. As farming is the people’s main income in this village, we choose to repair irrigation canals so that people understand on how to benefit them, one of which is making fish ponds with tarpaulin media. One of the newest freshwater aquaculture technologies is fish farming in tarpaulin ponds. In the tarpaulin pond system, the fish produced does not smell of mud or can be minimized by sucking up dirt from the bottom of the pond. Another advantage is that pond water only decreases through evaporation. The ponds can be built on narrow land and soil that absorbs water, which make the survival of fish farming is higher. The KKN program will take approximately 2 months, starting from May 14, 2022 to June 12, 2022 with the theme,"Utilizing the Hamlet Hall and Irrigation Canals for Community Empowerment in Improving Socio-Economic Welfare and Entrepreneurship in Kemiri Village, Pacet
