PENGABDIAN MASYARAKAT MELALUI KKN-T PEMBERDAYAAN KETRAMPILAN PENGOLAHAN RICE HUSK ASH (RHA) MENJADI BAHAN PENGGANTI SEMEN PADA BATA BETON (PAVING BLOK)

Abstract

Paving block itself is a mixture of sand and cement which has a ratio (1:2), (1:3), (1:4), while thepercentage of water needed is not stated (SNI 1996). Quality A for concrete bricks is used for roads with a minimum compressive strength of 35 MPa, quality B for concrete bricks is used for parking lots with a minimum compressive strength of 17 MPa, quality C for concrete bricks is used for pedestrians with a minimum compressive strength of 12.5 MPa, while quality D on concrete bricks is used for gardens with a minimum compressive strength of 8.5Mpa. Rice Husk Ash (RHA) or Rice Husk Ash is the result of burning rice husks. RHA is used as a substitute for cement in paving block mixes. The training partners are youth youth organizations and gentlemenof residents in Kalisat Village, Pasuruan Regency, East Java. The implementation method is through outreach, material selection, implementation/practice, testing and mentoring process, and the output target is to increase partner productivity by making paving which is economical and builds an entrepreneurial spirit for partners and opportunities for employment.
