PEMANFAATAN LAHAN SEMPIT DALAM PEMBUDIDAYAAN TERNAK LELE DAN TANAMAN HIDROPONIK DI MENANGGAL KECAMATAN GAYUNGAN SURABAYA
Abstract
Gayungan District, especially Menanggal Village, is located in Surabaya City, East Java. Gayungan District is a densely populated area, where there is almost no large empty land that can be utilized. Gayungan District still has the opportunity to cultivate catfish and hydroponic plants using even a small amount of empty land. Catfish farming is very popular among breeders because the market continues to grow. Cultivating local fish that is popular with local people needs to be prioritized if the aim of the activity is to increase food production and improve the nutrition of people in the area. Therefore, information about the general biology of local fish to be cultivated is the initial data needed in planning. Likewise with hydroponic plant cultivation, which is currently one of the plant cultivation methods that is very popular with farmers. Where the method of cultivating hydroponic plants without soil media and only requires a little water.
