Abstract
Generator foundations are required with the right dimensions so that the generator can function well, last long and not have a negative impact on the surrounding buildings. The aim of this study is to determine the dimensions of the shallow foundation for the generator at RSI Ahmad Yani Surabaya in accordance with applicable regulations. In this study, static and dynamic calculations were carried out. Static calculations to calculate settlement and consolidation, as well as soil bearing capacity using the Schmertmann method. Dynamic analysis to calculate frequency and amplitude values, as well as single and combined vibration attenuation in vertical, horizontal and longitudinal movement directions; as well as the effects of rocking, yawing and pitching using the Lumped Parameter method. Analysis and design have resulted in dimensions of 2.6 * 5.0 * 0.4 m for a shallow foundation system and the allowable bearing capacity (qall) shows = 4.19 kg/cm2 based on static conditions and 6.15 kg/cm2 based on dynamic conditions . Overall, the parameters resulting from the analysis and design have met the provisions and regulations.
