PEMANFAATAN PLAT NOMOR KENDARAAN BEKAS SEBAGAI BAHAN ANTENA BOWTIE SEDERHANA UNTUK MENANGKAP SIARAN TV DIGITAL
Abstract
Analog television (TV) broadcasts was be replaced with digital TV broadcasts in Indonesia since November 2, 2022. The digital TV adopts Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial Generation (DVB-T2) technology which operates on the UHF frequency of 470-806 MHz. One of the important equipment for capturing digital TV broadcasts is an antenna. The type of the antenna chosen is a Bowtie antenna because of its wide bandwidth and simple shape. In this paper, the design and implementation of a bowtie antenna from use d vehicle registration plates is carried out to receive digital TV broadcasts. Furthermore, the Bowtie antenna is tested based on the number of digital TV stations broadcasts received, signal strength and signal quality in the Sidoarjo area. The test results show that digital TV broadcasts which can be captured in the Sidoarjo area are 32 digital TV broadcasts operating at a frequency of 538-658 MHz. While the received signal strength is 92-99% and signal quality is 98%. This value illustrates that the bowtie antenna can works well.
